Hello! We are Francis and Xavier. Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know us!

We met in 2009 through a mutual friend who was convinced that we belonged together. It didn’t take more than a week of chatting online to realize that our friend was probably right. We decided to meet in person, and the magic happened! Our love story started between the romantic city of Paris in France and the festive city of Liege in Belgium, most famous for their amazing waffles!

We moved in together in 2011 and adopted our adorable puppy, Lulu. We celebrated our love in 2014, when the friend who introduced us officiated our wedding, together with all our family and friends. In 2016, we settled in Rochester, NY, which we fondly call home. We feel that now is the perfect time to build a family. We have been dreaming about it for many years and have always known that adoption is the right path for us

We hope that through this profile you can see that we are a happy and lively family that will unconditionally love, support, and nurture your child.

With love,

Francis and Xavier

Financial Support

Expectant mothers who choose to make an adoption plan may qualify for some level of financial assistance during their pregnancy. However, each person's situation and specific needs are different. Your adoption social worker can help you determine what level of assistance you qualify for and deserve. FAQ’s about placing a baby for Adoption

I'm considering giving my baby up for adoption. How much does that cost?

It won't cost you anything. If you choose to place your baby for adoption, all of your medical and legal fees will be covered and you may be eligible for financial assistance with other pregnancy-related expenses.

I'm experiencing an unplanned pregnancy and don't know who the birth father is. Can I still place my baby for adoption?

Yes. Even if you don’t know the identity of the birth father, you can still choose to make an adoption plan. However, every adoption situation is different. The adoption social worker you’re assigned to will get to know you and your story first, and then guide you through the process accordingly.

When is the right time to talk with an adoption professional?

You can make an adoption plan at any point in your pregnancy, even after the baby has been born. But, it's important to start the process as early in your pregnancy as possible. Connecting with those resources will allow you to gain access to important medical services, including prenatal care, to help ensure a healthy pregnancy.

When I create an adoption plan, will I get to choose who is in the room with me during delivery?

One aspect of your adoption plan is the "Hospital Plan" an outline of how you'd like your hospital stay and delivery to go. You can craft this on your own or with the help of your adoption social worker. But everything is up to you. You’ll be able to choose who comes to the hospital with you, who is in the room with you during delivery, and how much time you’d like to spend with the baby before signing the final papers.

How much contact will I have with the adoptive family after I place my baby with them?

As part of your adoption plan, you'll determine whether or not you’d like to have an open or closed adoption or something in between. Open adoptions may include phone calls, messaging (via social media, email, or text), and/or periodic visits each year. Closed adoptions may include no contact at all or annual updates provided to the birth parent(s) by the adoptive family. Each post-adoption relationship is different and can vary based on what an expectant mother chooses in her adoption plan.

Visit of Yellowstone for our birthdays

12/04/2021

In September 2019, for our birthdays (we are a few days - and a couple of years - apart), we decided to go somewhere special. It didn't take us long to pick the Yellowstone National Park, as it was on our bucket list for a long time. We went to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks in mid-October, we saw a lot of bison, elks, geysers and bright blue pools. We also saw a bald eagle and a family of moose. It was wonderful!   You can see more pictures in our photo album   These parks are like on another planet, so weird! After two days there, it started to snow a lot and the Rangers closed the park. So we decided to head south and get to the Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. It was quite a drive but it was worth it. These two parks are completely different from the first two and it was magical as well!      Click here to see more photos pictures of our vacation.   We were amazed by these landscapes and we already know we'll come again to show this to our kids, one day.   With love, Francis and Xavier

Holidays in Quebec City, Canada

12/04/2021

For the Holidays 2019, Francis's mom came to visit us. We went on a trip North-East to visit Quebec City together. Three humans and two dogs: Lulu, our dog, and Lia, our friend's dog that we were dog-sitting.    On our way to Quebec City! Did you spot Lia?   Quebec City is the capital of the Canadian province of Quebec, in Canada. We saw the Frontenac Castle, impossible to miss, as it is the biggest building in the city. We also visited the citadelle, with its ramparts.   Francis, Francis's mom, and Xavier, blinded by the sunlight   Stunning Frontenac Castle and the Old Quebec City from the ramparts   Entry to the city through a medieval gate   It really looks like an old medieval city in Europe! We had a great time, even though is was freezing. Like really freezing!   Francis and his maman, with Lulu (our dog) and Lia (our friend's dog)   Francis's mom stayed with us for two weeks, and promised she would jump again on a plane as soon as possible!   With love, Francis and Xavier

Hawaii 2021

12/04/2021

In spring 2021, we were lucky enough to visit Hawaii. We had set our mind and decided that nothing could stop us! We visited the islands Kauai and Big Island, two absolute gems, each in their own unique ways.   Kauai is also called the Garden Island, and it's true that the greenery is super rich! We saw plenty of waterfalls, we swam with turtles (at a safe distance), raced dolphins, flew and sailed all around the island... And of course, we hiked a lot! Our favorite hike was the Na Pali Coast trail. It was paradise!   Big Island is much different! It's an active volcanic island, and we were able to see the glow of the lava (at a very safe distance)! At night, we also swam with manta rays in the ocean. A magical and unforgettable experience!
